Description
Day 1: After landing at the designated airport, we will take you to the pre-selected hotel. You will enjoy an exciting excursion in a 4×4 vehicle to Punta Loma and Cerro Avanzado, where you can hike in Cerro Avanzado and observe fascinating marine fossils. You will also explore the Protected Area of Punta Loma, where you will have the opportunity to see sea lions and cormorants. At the end of the day, you will return to the comfort of your hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, we will start the day with a visit to the Interpretation Center for flora and fauna. If we are in season, we will go to Puerto Pirámides to watch whales. Then, we will transfer to Estancia Rincón Chico, an exclusive property located at the southeastern tip of the Península Valdés, with a sixteen-kilometer coastline along the Patagonian Sea. This marine area is one of the richest on Earth and is home to populations of right whales, elephant seals, sea lions, orcas, smaller dolphins, penguins, and numerous species of birds and fish. During your stay, you will enjoy full board and various activities. The guides, who are biologists and naturalists, will share information about each species.
Day 3: After a delicious breakfast, the guides will inform you about the appropriate activities for the day, considering the time of year, weather, tide schedule, and the location of the colonies and rookeries. Generally, activities are divided into two parts: one in the morning, leaving the Lodge after breakfast and returning for lunch, and another in the afternoon, after lunch and a rest, returning at dinner time.
Day 4: You will start the day with a nutritious breakfast and check out of Estancia Rincón Chico. Then we will head to the San Lorenzo estancia, where we will enjoy an included lunch with a delicious Patagonian lamb prepared by local specialists. Afterward, we will take a walk through the extensive Magellanic penguin colony, which settles on these coasts to complete their life cycles. Then, we will transfer you to the selected hotel.
